As many of you know, we have been working towards a sustainable model for Mission UpReach through agricultural production. We of course have our coffee, but we also have our broiler chicken operation. The challenges have been many, and if one day we reach our goals, we may write a book about the journey to encourage others. For now, would you pray for our chicken operation to continue towards sustainability? We are happy to announce that we were able to recently give away about 15,000 pounds of chicken carcass and 7500 pounds of giblets. That may not seem like much of a gift to you, but to the thousands of families that received the gifts, it means so much. People here love fried giblets and for most of them, it was the only meat on their table during that week. They also love the chicken carcass with its meat pieces for making soup. We will continue to do those types of give aways to the communities around us.
